Five men of different ages and backgrounds standing shoulder to shoulder

A Call to Two Arms

We're not calling men out. We're calling men up.

A Call to Two Arms invites men around the world to help prevent abuse, stand with survivors, and protect the safety and dignity of women and children.

It starts with our own behavior: respecting boundaries, accepting ‘no’ without pressure, listening when we have caused hurt, and taking responsibility for change. It means challenging excuses for abuse and learning to support others safely.

Men of every age, background, and ability have a role.

One arm to Protect. One arm to Embrace.

The Brothers in Arms Pledge

I RISE IS HOW WE RISE.

Read the pledge. If these are your commitments, choose ‘I RISE.’ Then invite three brothers to stand with you.

I STAND FOR WOMEN & CHILDREN.

For truth, even when silence is easier. Against abuse, whoever is responsible. For the safety and dignity of women and children.

I will listen to survivors and respect their choices. I will use my strength to serve, with courage and restraint. I will stand beside my brothers—and hold myself and them accountable.

One arm to Protect. One arm to Embrace. NOT ON OUR WATCH.

I’m Michael, I’m a father, and I created A Call to Two Arms because I’m like you—tired of hearing all the stories of violence against women and children. I wanted to give men globally a simple place to begin, with a commitment we can actually live by. One arm to Protect. One arm to Embrace. To me, to be a man means having the courage to protect, to stand up against abuse; the compassion to listen; and the honesty to look at our own behavior first. We can respect boundaries, take responsibility when we cause hurt, and help the next generation do better than we have. That’s what the Brothers in Arms Pledge asks of us. Read it. If these are your commitments, choose ‘I RISE.’ Invite three brothers to stand with you, and have one conversation this week. I RISE is how WE RISE.
